If you have arrived here from a site other than the Artists' Milepost website, then please visit the website before submitting a proposal. This is very important! There you will find gallery layout plans and descriptions, as well as more information about the community and what we are looking for in your exhibition proposals.
While we are open to exhibits from artists worldwide, all exhibits must be personally delivered to the gallery by the artist or artist representative, or shipped post-paid and insured. We have limited resources to help non-local artists, but we may be able to assist in locating lodging and other needs while you are in town.
Art Haus retains a sales commission of 15% to 25% which goes to maintain our gallery and event programming. Please price your pieces accordingly.
The art in this space will rotate monthly.
The guidelines for our coffee shop exhibits are a bit different than for our regular fine arts gallery shows. Works may be a bit more crafty, a bit more oriented toward sales. One thing we have in common with the galleries, however: your work must be attractively framed, matted or otherwise be professionally presented, (i.e. no pushpins on paper).
These exhibits are only open to local artists in the Portland/Vancouver metro area. We will give preference to artists who reside in the eastern neighborhoods of Portland, (East of 60th Ave).
Please fill out the following forms if you wish us to look at your work.
Please propose only events which are appropriate for a residential building. We cannot accommodate acts which require loud amplification.
Note: Unfortunately at this time, we are unable to provide much, if anything, in the way of direct financial compensation, but if your project fits our mission, we are happy to consider sponsorship of your production, including full or partial rental waiver and help with publicity and logistics. If you are a private producer, and need income from your act, please provide us with a plan (door fee, marketing, mailing list, etc.) so that we can evaluate whether or not this can work for us. While we do social media and other kinds of marketing, we rely on our artists to make an equal effort to promote turnout.
We need at least two months advance notice, a bio, and some samples of your work. We have limited space, so show us your best work.
We are particularly interested in promising artists at the beginning of their artistic path.
